“Up” earned $293 million at the domestic box office. He unwittingly also takes an ambitious boy scout along with him on the journey. Ed Asner plays a widower who’s facing eviction from his lifelong home, so he uses hundreds of balloons to make his house fly off into the sky. “Up” took home a pair of Oscars as well: Best Animated Feature and Best Score ( Michael Giacchino). It was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Sound Editing in 2009. The film earned $415 million domestically. The film once again stars Tom Hanks as cowboy Woody and Tim Allen as spaceman Buzz Lightyear. This third film in the wildly successful franchise about Andy’s adventurous toys is a much more emotional outing, as the boy’s all grown up and heading out to college. It also earned a trio of bids for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Sound Editing.
